Job Purpose:

To maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the care home.

Reporting to:

Head of Housekeeping & General Manager

Hours:

Contracted 2 x 6 hour shifts a week on a set 4 week rolling rota + opportunity to pick up additional hours to cover.

Important: Due to the rural location of Penpergwm House and limited bus service, this role is only suitable for those who have a driver's license and the use of a vehicle at all times.

Job Responsibilities:

The complete all cleaning duties as allocated in the Cleaning; Daily, Periodic and Monthly Work Instructions To follow the Universal Infection and Control Procedures throughout your cleaning duties To maintain the highest standards of cleanliness throughout the home To assist with the laundry processing as and when required To use all equipment and cleaning products following manufacturer's instructions To ensure that all cleaning equipment and products are cleaned and stored safely after use To adhere to all health and safety regulations To report any faults, hazards or visible risks immediately to the Housekeeper and Care Home Manager. To undertake such training as required to maintain the highest cleaning standards To undertake any other reasonable duties as requested by the Housekeeper or the Care Home Manager

Demonstrate practical domestic skills Empathy with elders Good level of physical health Good communication skills Good understanding of health and safety issues Good time management Good organisational skills Ability to follow instructions Ability to work alone adhering to a schedule Clean driving licence Good understanding of Universal Infection Control
