We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Residential Care Manager to oversee the daily operations of our residential care home based in Fareham. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for supporting their team in providing high-quality care to residents. This role is pivotal in ensuring that all residents receive the support they need, including medication administration and tailored care plans.
Duties
The Manager is required to ensure:
The safeguarding and welfare of our residents
The physical, spiritual, emotional, psychological and educational needs of each service user are properly assessed, monitored and supported. To provide written information as required within the appropriate format.
That each service user has their own service user guide including an Individual Life Plan that is regularly reviewed;
That each service user can participate and take an active role in any review of their care plans;
That each service user within the home, has clear written guidelines on management of displayed behaviours, which are implemented by the staff team;
That each service user has a detailed personal file/care plan held within the home covering all aspects of their individual care needs including:
To encourage and support good physical and mental health
Support development of the service user with daily living tasks
To support service users to identify and achieve lifelong goals, ie relationships, greater independence
To act as advocate for service users as required
To engage the service user in meaningful activities that will enhance their life experience
Experience
Proven experience in senior care management or a similar role within a residential setting is essential.
Strong background in medication administration and supervising caregiving staff.
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
Experience in developing care plans tailored to individual resident needs, particularly for those requiring dementia care.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
