Job Description

Diamond UK are looking for a very experienced, hardworking, conscientious and confident Cleaning Supervisor to lead a small team of 4 staff delivering excellent service within a high end office environment at Robertson Avenue in Edinburgh.

The Supervisor will have their own cleaning duties to carry out and, in addition to this, they will require to:

Supervise a small team of 4 cleaning staff; Ensure that both they, and the team, follow Diamond's cleaning standards and procedures to a high level and ensure adherence to these standards and procedures at all times; Ensure regular checks are carried out on each floor, at the end of every shift, to ensure work has been carried out to a high standard and to ensure that all equipment and cleaning materials have been safely stored away; Liaise with the office regarding holidays, sickness absence, stock ordering, faulty equipment and any matter regarding the team; Train and coach the team to ensure that they are fully aware of all health and safety procedures and cleaning standards; Schedule and assign specific duties/roles to cleaners and also ensuring that they are carried out expertly; Inspect cleaning equipment on a regular basis to check when they are worn-out/faulty and also request for replacement; Control and monitoring the usage of cleaning materials so as to avoid or minimize waste and/or misuse; and Provide any form of required assistance to cleaners while they carry out their duties.
The other duties will include hoovering, sanitising surfaces, mopping, dusting, emptying bins and general cleaning tasks.

Working hours will be Monday to Thursday 5pm -7.30pm and Friday 3.00pm - 5.30pm

The Supervisor has the keys and is responsible for locking up each evening when staff have finished.
