Client Accountant

Salford, ENG, GB, United Kingdom

Job Description

Calling all Accountants who feel like every day is the same...

There is another way.

At MAP, we strive to make a difference - not only do our clients benefit from our new way of doing things, but so do our people, who feel supported by the whole team throughout their entire journey.

From day 1, you'll get to work with some of the UK's most exciting businesses as part of an outsourced finance function.

Our unique approach to your career development (which includes paying for your exams and tuition) sets us apart from other accountancy firms, so you can be confident that you're getting the best training and experience to ensure you're ready for any accountancy challenge that comes your way.

The benefits of being a mapper don't stop there - as one of our team, you'll also have access to our supportive leadership team, who are dedicated to helping you accelerate your career in accounting or expand into other roles within the business.

At MAP:

There are no ties or smart suits - it's smart casual every day. We all work on MacBooks and fully utilise the latest accounting technology to streamline how we work. We're a paperless office. You'll be appreciated and thanked by both clients and the team alike. You'll have autonomy with scope to make your mark. Whatever your role, your opinions and ideas will always be valued.
What You Can Expect

You'll get 20 days' holiday (plus bank holidays) and an additional day off for your birthday, even if it falls on the weekend.

We also offer a holiday bonus program, so you will gain an additional day's holiday for each year spent at MAP for up to 5 years. If you complete your professional qualification (ACCA, ACA) during this time, you will jump to 25 days' holiday.

We always close from Christmas Eve to New Year, and as a bonus, you won't need to use any annual leave entitlement for this period, so everyone can fully recharge and enjoy the festivities with friends and family.

There is some flexibility as to when you work, and because all our clients are fully cloud-based, we offer hybrid working where up to 60% of your working month can be spent working remotely following probation.

We also offer gym memberships, and to further assist with having a healthy mind and body, we offer a private health plan which covers you and any dependents and can be used towards everyday medical expenses and provides 24/7 access to counselling support and a GP.

As if that wasn't enough, we also look to support the wider MAP family by covering everyone for 4x their annual salary and providing access to thousands of retail and lifestyle discounts through perks.

We have unlimited tea, coffee and hot chocolate, and as you'll be working just a short 4-minute walk from Market Street in the heart of Manchester City Centre, there's an abundance of retail, food and drink options right on our doorstep.

What you will mainly be responsible for

In this client-facing role, you will be involved in a variety of duties to help support the finance function of our clients. The work means you will gain a much broader, deeper understanding of how to support modern businesses.
