Overall, Purpose of the Role



The purpose of this role is to

strengthen Axiom Home Care's presence, reputation, and relationships within the local community

, with a strong focus on

Hemel Hempstead and the wider Hertfordshire area

.

The role is primarily focused on

community outreach, local marketing, networking, and partnership development

, supported by a client-facing engagement element that promotes wellbeing, reduces loneliness, and encourages safe participation in community life. Client-facing activities are social, supportive, and engagement-led, delivered in line with agreed care plans and organisational guidance.

Key Responsibilities



1.

Community Outreach & Local Marketing (Primary Focus)



Act as a visible, professional ambassador for Axiom Home Care across Hertfordshire. Identify and engage with appropriate local venues to promote Axiom, including Cafes and coffee shops, Pharmacies, GP surgeries and health hubs, Community centres and libraries, Churches, mosques, temples, and other faith settings, Local shops and community noticeboards Arrange placement and review visibility of Axiom marketing materials. Monitor local presence and suggest improvements to outreach and branding. Generate organic business opportunities through relationship-building and community engagement. Provide regular feedback to directors on local intelligence, opportunities, and gaps.

Client Wellbeing & Community Engagement



Spend planned, meaningful time with selected clients to support wellbeing and social connection. Accompany clients on short, local outings such as cafes, parks, garden centres, or community hubs. Identify accessible, dementia-friendly, and welcoming local venues. Support clients in a respectful, person-centred way, guided by individual care plans. Share learning and observations with the wider team to support service improvement

2. Social Media & Content Generation



Generate weekly content ideas and supply raw photos/videos to the Axiom marketing team. Identify content themes including Seasonal and cultural events, Community activities, Dementia-friendly engagement, Staff, partnership, and local highlights Support ideas for newsletters, campaigns, and annual community planning. Ensure all content complies with consent, dignity, confidentiality, and company policy. (Editing and publishing are completed by the marketing team.)*

2. Partnerships & Networking



Build and maintain relationships with:
- Hertfordshire County Council and community services

- Voluntary and third-sector organisations

- Day centres and older people's groups

- Housing associations and supported living providers

- Local referral and community support agencies

Attend relevant community events, meetings, and forums. Identify partnership opportunities aligned with Axiom's values and service offer. Maintain clear records of contacts, discussions, and outcomes.

2. Family Engagement & Reviews



Develop positive, professional relationships with clients' families. Support open communication and ongoing engagement. Encourage and support families to provide: Google reviews, Homecare.co.uk reviews, Structured feedback Share themes and learning with management to support continuous improvement.

2. Client-Facing Support Activities



Attend new client assessments alongside the Registered Manager or senior team members when required. Support completion of "Personal Passport" / "About Me" documentation. Act as a friendly and approachable point of contact for engagement-related matters.
2. Administrative & System Responsibilities

Record engagement and activities accurately using

CareBeans

. Use

BrightHR

to: Record mileage and expenses, Submit approved claims, Complete required administrative tasks Maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and accurate records always.

This role is based in

Hertfordshire

, with a particular emphasis on:

Hemel Hempstead

Surrounding towns and villages as agreed with management
Strong local knowledge and confidence working within the community are essential.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 13.00-15.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 30 per week
