Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced finance Officer to join our team. As a finance officer, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of our organization. This is a key role that requires strong financial acumen, strategic thinking, and excellent communication skills.

```Duties```
- Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure the financial health and stability of the organization
- Provide support and guidance to the Managing Director, including direct working with other Solicitors and branch managers
- Manage the financial planning including forecasting and analysis
- Oversee financial accounting activities, ensuring accurate and timely reporting to the Accounting team.

- Monitor and manage credit accounts
- Monitor and control costs to maximize profitability and efficiency
- Collaborate with other departments to support strategic decision-making through financial analysis and insights
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and accounting standards.
- Continuously evaluate and improve financial systems and processes to drive operational excellence

```Skills```
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following skills:
- Strong leadership abilities with the ability to collaborate with the leadership
- In-depth knowledge of financial accounting principles and practices
- Proven experience in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data
- Sound understanding of cost control measures to optimize profitability
- Proficiency in financial case management software or desirable working knowledge of Leap case management software or the ability to learn to use the Leap accounting system.
- Experience in the financial services industry is preferred but not required
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.

- Preferably an understanding of the law firm application LEAP.
