Client Manager- Accountancy Practice (Remote, UK only)

Fully remote | 40,000-50,000 (DOE)

We're looking for a

tough, improvement-driven Client Manager

to make sure one of our accountancy practices runs like clockwork. You'll lead two fully remote teams (UK and South Africa), keep client work on track, and drive smarter processes as we prepare to merge five businesses into one company.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and support a team of UK staff plus a full-time South African team. Plan workloads, monitor deadlines, review work, and make sure client service is accurate and timely. Act as a key contact for client queries and prospective client enquiries. Oversee client billing and keep supplier costs under control. Spot gaps and implement better processes so the practice runs efficiently, not reactively. Play a central role in preparing this practice for growth and the upcoming group merger.

Requirements

AAT qualified (or similar) with

at least three years' recent accountancy practice experience

. Strong people-management skills - firm but fair, with experience coaching and holding staff accountable. Broad knowledge of the

full accounting lifecycle

(Bookkeeping, VAT, Management Accounts, Year-End, Corporation Tax, Self-Assessment). Confident reviewing and signing off work prepared by others. Comfortable managing and motivating remote staff across the UK and South Africa. Process-minded and driven by improvement and growth.
