Client Portfolio Manager - Chester
Fantastic opportunity for an ACA/ACCA qualified accountant to join a respected firm in Chester.
Perfect for someone with practice experience looking to develop their client management skills and career.
As a Client Portfolio Manager, the following responsibilities are required:

  • Deal with day to day queries from customers in relation to cash-flow, accounts treatment, company tax advice, personal tax advice, CIS, VAT and PAYE
  • Provide a pro-active service to customers utilising relevant MI to ensure that they are constantly informed and have full visibility of all areas of their accounts
  • Provide dynamic and proactive tax and accounting support to 500 + clients using written and phone-based communication
  • Prepare statutory accounts - this will include preparation of accounts and supporting tax computations for customers requiring year end and cessation accounts
  • Engage with HMRC regarding the clients business and personal tax affairs
  • Assist in the preparation of Self-Assessment Tax returns
  • Undertake ad-hoc clean-up or other projects, meeting targets set at the start of the project
  • Provide mentor support to students within the team
  • Suggest process improvements necessary to the role

  • Experience with cloud-based accounting platforms
  • Knowledge of management accounting and financial reporting
  • Previous supervisory or team leadership experience
  • Experience with reviewing bookkeeping and accounts production processes
  • Experience across multiple business sectors
  • Understanding of audit and assurance processes
