An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Clinical Coding Service, Swansea Bay University Health Board for the permanent position of a Clinical Coding Supervisor/Trainer.
The successful candidate will need to be able to demonstrate strong leadership skills and provide evidence of managing successful teams.
The successful candidate will need a high level of clinical coding knowledge, experience and training skills to develop and manage the trainee clinical coding team to pass their ACC exams.
A key requirement of the role is for the post holder to have the ACC Accredited Clinical Coder qualification (UK).
A key requirement for the role is for the post holder to use skills and experience as an accredited Clinical Coder to operationally lead
and manage teams within the Clinical Coding Service.
A key requirement for the role is for the post holder to have training experience, using their skills training the Clinical Coding trainees to pass the ACC exam.
The post holder will need to have management experience and have excellent management and leadership skills.
To be forward thinking, innovative, creative, and to continuously strive to develop the Clinical Coding Service and develop, produce and provide training material and training.
The post holder will also need to have experience in managing teams to achieve the highest standard of quality and performance and use their skills to plan, report and deliver.
Champion for digital technology and recognise the value and benefits of digital solutions in supporting the current and future developments of the Clinical Coding Service.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
