Applications are invited for a full time Clinical Fellow (Higher ST6+/Senior Post CCT) in Plastic Surgery (Microsurgery).This post is available ASAP for 6 months with the possibility of extension.Applications will be considered for subsequent start points i.e. 06 August 2025, 04 February 2026.Main duties of the jobYou will join our team of 16 Consultant Plastic Surgeons, four with a specialist interest in Breast Reconstruction, four with a specialist interest in Head and Neck reconstruction (including surgery for facial palsy) and three upper limb and three lower limb reconstruction consultants.You will have the opportunity to be involved with a large number of microsurgical procedures carried out by the department and will take on greater levels of responsibility as the post progresses. We are a Major Trauma Centre covering the East of England and you will have the opportunity to manage complex Limb reconstructions.This post would best suit a senior trainee who wishes to maximise the microsurgical experience prior to obtaining a definitive consultant post.Please note that these posts do not carry Postgraduate Dean's approval or training recognition.Full Registration and a Licence to Practice with the General Medical Council at time of application is required.About usThe applicant must have demonstrable skills in listening, reading, writing and speaking in English that enable effective communication about medical topics with patients and colleagues, as set out in the GMC's Good Medical Practice (2013).
