Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who has a drive to support the improvement of the quality governance across the Trust, to join our team as a Clinical Governance Assistant Manager.
The post holder will provide a wide range of high quality administrative and support duties to the Clinical Governance Manager, assisting them to provide levels of assurance both at Delivery Unit and Board Level.
Under current Home Office Immigration Rules, this role does not meet the UK Visas and Immigration criteria and the position is not therefore eligible for skilled worker sponsorship. Applications from candidates that require skilled worker sponsorship will NOT be shortlisted.
Main duties of the job
To act as a support to the Clinical Governance Manger in the delivery of the breadth of the Trusts' Quality and Safety Agenda, including the effective delivery and oversight of the following agendas: -
o Patient Safety (incident and risk management, patient safety reviews)
o Clinical Effectiveness (including audit, application of NICE guidance and quality improvement)
o Patient Experience (PALS, Complaints)
o Risk Management
o Regulatory Compliance
The post holder will be accountable to the Assistant Chief Nurse and Patient Safety Officer, working with the Delivery Unit's triumvirate to support the Clinical Governance manager in the development andimplementation of systems and processes to ensure the delivery of robust governance oversight for the Directorate.
As a member of the Clinical Governance team, the post holder should have the ability to provide advice and guidance to staff within the delivery unit on applying the principles of risk management, the patient safety incident response framework and provide advice and guidance on managing patients concerns and complaints. There is also an expectation that the post holder will meet with patients and families to support them with any concerns they may have.
