An experienced RGN Registered Nurse is required to work as Clinical Lead / Nurse Manager in our
24-bed
Specialist Nursing home supporting Dementia, Alzheimer's and End of Life Care; working alongside our strong, experienced team in place, always ensuring consistent high-quality care.
SALARY: 45,000
HOURS: 42.5 Hours per week
(1 RGN shifts 12.5 hours in total 4 Office days 30 hours in total with some flexibility)

As Clinical Lead Nurse / Nurse Manager, you will manage, monitor, and oversee all aspects of clinical and personal care within the home. You will support the Home Manager and provide effective leadership and direction to care and nursing staff and will ensure care documentation is up to date and fully meeting resident needs.
Essential Experience:
Minimum of 2 years' experience working as Nurse as Senior/ Nurse Manager in a similar setting
Experience working in a fast paced and changing environment.
Experience leading an organization through change.
Care of older people in a residential setting
2. Job Summary:
To clinically assess prospective Service Users of the Company and to provide clinical review if they become a resident. To work in participation with all clinicians who are involved with residents and support the development of individual care plans and risk assessments. To assist in the recruitment, auditing and on-call procedures for the company and lead on any clinical training.
3. Key Tasks:
To provide clinical supervision for the nursing team on an individual and group basis. Conduct 6 monthly appraisals in line with the relevant matrix.
Supervise a team of nurses and healthcare assistants on shift.
Efficient and effective management and leadership of clinical and support staff ensuring excellent standards of care.
To regularly monitor all clinical audits and ensure completion by the specified timescale, ensuring that all evidence is attached for compliance.
Monitor all care plan reviews and risk assessment procedures throughout the organization and provide feedback to Home Manager
Positively, fully support and implement the decisions of the Home Manager and provide feedback relating to the performance of staff.
Create and uphold an open, positive, and inclusive management culture.
Participate in the development of the Company's policies, particularly those that relate to clinical issues within the service.
Share in the development of strategy plans within the Company.
Participate in the evaluation of the Company against agreed organizational and clinical goals as well as business and quality objectives.
To clinically assess potential service users, utilizing costing sources, undertaking preadmission assessments through visits.
To be present when a service user is admitted to the service in order to provide continuity of contact.
To provide verbal and written feedback to Directors about the people they have placed in the organization, on a quarterly and/or as required basis.
Ensure the floor is kept compliant all times.
To ensure Nurses and SHCA competencies are completed six-monthly.
To complete the monthly and yearly weight chart in a timely manner while also updating the nutritional risk register, displaying it in the relevant places.
To complete DOLs applications for new residents admitted to the home and reapply for current residents.
To complete CQC death notifications for deceased residents in a timely manner and ensure all relevant parties are made aware.
To complete managers follow on reports for incidents/accidents, investigating any trends or patterns that may arise and using clinical judgment to put control measures in place to minimize risk.
Monitoring of all medication stock control, regularly checking for any deficits/shortages in residents' medication and actioning prescription requests as applicable.
To conduct formal Training needs analysis in the context of the clinical specialism
Carry out regular checking of the monthly cycle to ensure accuracy.
Monitor the completion of Nurses' cleaning schedules for the Treatment Room and Medical Equipment, for adherence of Infection Control
To provide on-call management support at evenings/weekends on an agreed Rota basis
Work in a cost-effective manner
Be involved in staff recruitment process, including shortlisting and interviewing, to provide clinical related questions when necessary.
Keep up to date with the latest care and treatment methods within the specialist clinical fields that the organization is registered to deliver.
To assist in developing Environmental and situational risk assessments.
Identify issues relating to an individuals' condition and vulnerability and to support care planning and risk assessment which safeguards the individual.
To analyse any incidents of difficulties involving residents in the context of a persons' clinical condition, in order for necessary adjustments to be made
To attend multi-disciplinary team meetings and contribute to the modification of Care Plans
To develop bespoke educational training programs for staff. This will include face to face delivery and development of online training materials and "hard copy" materials.
To participate in formal induction programs for new staff
To chair and set agenda for bi-monthly nurse's meetings.
To participate in all staff meetings to provide updates from the clinical department.
Establish relationships with learning institutions to promote availability of staff training at all levels.
Work with all stakeholders to continually improve relationships and service provision.

The successful candidate for this post will meet the following criteria:
NMC registered Adult Nurse/RGN
Up to date NMC registration
Experienced in a leadership or supervisory role within a UK care home setting
Confident undertaking clinical assessments and in all aspects of care management
Be able to implement policies and procedures in an effective manner which are in line with the legislative, regulatory, and fundamental care standards
Efficient leader and confident in mentoring and developing nurses
