We have an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Scientist trained in urodynamics to join our multi-disciplinary team, which includes clinical scientists, registered nurses, health care assistants, radiographers and medical staff. This role is ideally suited for those who have completed the scientist training programme (STP) in urodynamics, or in gastrointestinal physiology or clinical engineering with significant experience in urodynamics.
Our service provides simple and video cystometrograms and flow studies. The post holder is expected to be able to deliver the cystometrogram lists, and to support for flow studies which are provided by support staff. In addition, the post holder, as part of the service's scientific leadership team, is expected to triage referrals, provide technical and scientific advice to the service, plan and complete quality improvement projects including audits and clinical research, develop a quality management system suitable for accreditation to external standards, and provide teaching and supervision for the STP.
There may be an opportunity to work into other services for example our gastrointestinal services but this will be on a limited basis.
