The West Suffolk Specialist CAMHS Team is seeking a

Band 3 Clinical Support Worker

to undertake a range of clinical activities within the CFYP Service.



This role will be based in Bury St Edmunds with the post holder working 37.5 hours a week.



You must have experience of working with service users under 18 and be committed to undertake further training. This is a unique opportunity for the successful candidate to progress professionally.

Main duties of the job




Clinical Support Workers undertake a range of activities to support the work of the team. This includes supporting the implementation of short term clinical interventions or pre- treatment support. Undertaking home visits and supporting young people and their families as well as clinic based work.



Within this role clinicians work with minimal supervision, but under the direction of the senior clinicians including Nurses and Psychologists.



The degree of involvement will be determined by a Registered Practitioner who will assess the extent of supervision required, having considered the particular circumstances and assessed the post holder's experience.



You will observe, report and record any changes, which may indicate an alteration in the patient's wellbeing as well as any routine observations required and converse with patients and their relatives/carers in a positive and respectful manner.
