We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Club Leader to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and possess strong leadership skills. As a Club Leader, you will be responsible for managing daily operations, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for children, and providing guidance to staff members. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to drive a positive team culture.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily activities within the after school & holiday club, ensuring that all children are cared for in a safe and engaging environment. Manage staff schedules and delegate tasks effectively to ensure smooth operations during shifts. Communicate regularly with parents regarding their children's progress and any concerns that may arise. Lead by example, demonstrating best practices in childcare and early childhood education. Foster a positive atmosphere among staff, encouraging teamwork and collaboration. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and organised facility. Provide support in training new staff members on nursery policies and procedures.

Qualifications

Previous experience working with children in a childcare, children's club or nursery setting is essential. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Welsh speaker is desired. A background in childhood education or related field is preferred but not mandatory. Training in Playwork is available. Ability to drive initiatives that promote child development and learning through play. A genuine passion for nurturing children's growth and well-being is crucial. Candidate must be willing to complete necessary training for the role e.g safeguarding, first aid, food hygiene etc..
