Here at Dawn Until Dusk we are looking for a Manager to join our Wrap Around Care team at Bedford Road Primary School!



Dawn Until Dusk Ltd. Before, After School & Holiday Club provides high quality, fun, vibrant child centered and affordable out of school play provision for children at 20 schools in and around Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire. At Dawn Until Dusk Ltd, we place the importance of a home from home environment in our settings, where children are encouraged to flourish through an exciting array of play opportunities and experiences.

The Role



As a Club Manager you will have the opportunity to organise a range of activities, including role play, arts and crafts, sports, disco's and so much more! Your day to day role will be ever-changing, exciting and full of laughter.

You will be working at our setting

Monday - Friday

, your shifts will be

7:30am - 9.00am

for the Breakfast club and

3.00pm - 6.00pm

for the After School Club. This is a

25 hour/week (including admin time) term time only

contract. You will have the option to work at our Holiday Clubs for extra hours should you wish. We do also offer 52week contracts if this suits you better.

You will create a safe, fun and fulfilling home from home environment for the children at Dawn Until Dusk, asking how their school day was, playing games and eating a snack before they go home for dinner. We care about our children and know them really well, and we hope you will love this job as much as we do!

Essential Qualifications & Experience:



Level 3 or above qualification in Childcare/ Early Years or equivalent (desirable but not essential). Experience working within a nursery/preschool/childminding environment in a leadership role such as Room Leader or Deputy Manager. A willingness to undertake relevant training in the future. A passion for childcare and a genuine interest in child development. Paediatric First Aid - (can be gained whilst in employment).

Key Responsibilities & Duties:



As a Manager, you will ensure every individual child's needs are met, including supporting parents with any SEND needs and your staff team Take ownership of the observation, assessments and planning for your key children in line with EYFS and provide developmentally challenging next steps. Be a key player to ensure the setting receives excellent outcomes in internal audits and those of external authorities such as Ofsted, Environmental health etc. Ensure we encourage and praise children's development and achievements. Ensuring that the supervision of the children from your team of Playworkers is sufficient - children need to always be within sight or hearing and ideally within sight and hearing Delivering and assisting the Playworkers with leading the timetabled activities that you've created together to a group of children from 4 to 13 years old. Coordinating staff to ensure staff to child ratios are always followed. Understanding and following the requirements of the Ofsted voluntary and childcare register and early years register. To manage the sign in and sign out process with parent and children To manage child behaviour in line with the child behaviour policy To manage and organise your team effectively To manage bookings and maximise places at the club with the administration team Follow all company policies - you need to know them, understand them and implement them. Admin and paperwork required in line with Ofsted, early years and childcare regulations such as reporting. Recording and reporting any safeguarding concerns to your Area Manager and following the safeguarding procedure and to speak up against practices that don't support safeguarding or our core values. Ensure all of you team know and understand the safeguarding procedure Completing registers Fire/Safety drills Liaising with and communicating with parents in a calm professional manner Ensuring the facilities are maintained and kept clean and tidy in line with company policy Ensuring that your setting is kept secure at all times. Promote the services offered by Dawn Until Dusk including raising awareness of themed days and the upcoming holiday clubs .
