Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Steward and Assistant Steward to join our team.

The successful candidate will play a vital role in the running of our small and friendly members only social club.

This paid position offers an excellent opportunity to develop management and hospitality skills whilst contributing to a welcoming atmosphere for members and staff alike.

We are looking for one full time and one part time couple, on site accommodation is provided as part of the package.

The successful couple will report to the Officers of the Committee.

Responsibilities

Working behind the bar during opening hours and preparation outside of opening hours. Replenishment of stock from wholesalers, so car is essential. Ensure all bar and dining areas are kept clean, organised, and well-presented at all times. Preparing and providing food during evenings and catering for events as required. Maintain stock levels of all bar products, liaising with brewery, ordering and reporting shortages as needed Handle members requests courteously and efficiently, ensuring a friendly experience Follow health and safety regulations diligently to uphold hygiene standards Contribute to team efforts in maintaining a smooth-running operation during busy periods

Qualifications

Previous experience in bar work is essential Must hold bar, alcohol license Hold hygiene certificate for food preparation Strong organisational skills with an eye for detail Excellent guest service skills with a friendly and professional demeanour Ability to work effectively as part of a team, manage part time staff Good communication skills and a proactive attitude towards problem-solving Flexibility to work hours as required, including weekends and evenings

Pay: 25,000.00-28,000.00 per year
