Based in Newton Aycliffe, County Durham, we cover the whole of the UK and work with customers across a wide range of industries including automotive, food, and pharmaceutical. We offer a full turnkey solution from design through to complete manufacture and installation.

Main Purpose of Role:

As part of the continued expansion within the business, we are looking to recruit an experienced Laser Operator to support our fabrication department. This role is responsible for operating CNC laser cutting machines, loading sheet metal, nesting parts using Radan software, and ensuring laser-cut components are produced safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards.

Key Tasks:

Loading and unloading sheet metal onto the laser cutting machine Creating and adjusting nests using Radan software Operating CNC laser cutting machinery Monitoring cutting processes and making adjustments where required Inspecting laser-cut components for accuracy and quality Carrying out basic machine maintenance and housekeeping Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working area Manual handling and heavy lifting will be required
Key Requirements for Role:

Experience operating CNC laser cutting machines (preferred) Experience using Radan software or similar nesting software (required) Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Good attention to detail and quality awareness Willingness to work as part of a team Good physical strength and dexterity for sheet handling Ability to stand and work on foot for extended periods Good verbal communication skills Strong understanding of safety and quality procedures
