Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled CNC Lathe Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC lathes to produce precision components. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical processes, tooling, and materials handling. The successful applicant will work closely with engineering and production teams to ensure high-quality output and adherence to specifications.

Duties

Set up and operate CNC lathes according to engineering drawings and specifications. Conduct regular inspections of machined parts to ensure they meet quality standards. Utilise software for programming and modifying designs as necessary. Perform tooling changes and adjustments to maintain optimal machine performance. Handle materials safely and efficiently, ensuring proper storage and organisation within the warehouse. Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues related to machinery or production processes. Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations. Use hand tools effectively for fabrication tasks as required.

Requirements

Proven experience as a CNC Lathe Operator or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment , supplementary training may be given to suitable candidate Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read technical drawings and schematics. Familiarity with Fanuc systems and their application in CNC operations. Experience with tooling, materials handling, and warehouse operations is advantageous. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality small batch work. Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing technologies in the field.
