Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and skilled individual to join our manufacturing team as a

CNC Machine Operator, Polisher and General Workshop Operative

. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys precision engineering, hands-on work, and is eager to develop a broad range of workshop skills. You will play a key part in producing high-quality wood-burning stoves and metal components, operating CNC machinery, polishing, and supporting general fabrication and finishing tasks.

Key Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC machines to produce components to precise specifications. Carry out polishing, finishing and surface preparation of metal parts to a high standard. Assist with general workshop tasks, including drilling, tapping, folding, shot blasting, and assembly work. Prepare and load components for robotic welding or finishing processes. Check and measure components to ensure accuracy and quality. Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment, following company procedures and safety guidelines.

Requirements & Skills

CNC machine operation experience is desirable but not essential--full training will be provided. Previous experience in a metal fabrication, polishing, or manufacturing environment is an advantage. Ability to read and follow technical drawings or production instructions. Competence with hand tools and power tools (such as drills, grinders and sanders). Good attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality workmanship. Strong teamwork skills and a positive, proactive attitude. Awareness of health and safety best practices.
