Job Overview

We are seeking a CNC Operator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating computer numerical control (CNC) machines to produce precision components and parts. This role will mainly be as a machine operator but other duties will be carried out in our workshop and stores.

Experience on CNC Machines preferred but not essential as full training will be given.

Duties

Set up and operate CNC machines, including milling and other fabrication equipment, ensuring precise adherence to specifications. Interpret technical drawings. Monitor machine performance, making adjustments as necessary to maintain quality standards. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC equipment. Handle materials efficiently, ensuring correct storage, movement, and utilisation of raw materials and finished products. Use hand tools and tooling to assist with machine setup, calibration, and minor repairs. Conduct quality checks on machined parts, verifying dimensions with basic math skills and measuring instruments. Maintain a clean and organised work area in compliance with health and safety regulations. Assist in assembly processes when required, supporting overall production flow.

Skills

Strong understanding of fabrication techniques and CNC machining processes. Mechanical knowledge related to tooling, materials handling, and equipment maintenance is preferred. Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for measurements and adjustments. Competence in using hand tools and various tooling for machine setup and minor repairs. Previous warehouse or manufacturing experience will be considered an asset. Pay: 12.21-13.50 per hour
