CNC Machine Operator

to join our foam cutting section and support our growing production team.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining foam cutting machines to produce high-quality components as per product specifications. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in a similar field to further develop their skills within a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

Set up CNC, band knife and foam cutting machines according to product specifications (machine-specific training can be provided). Operate machines and other programmable equipment with precision and attention to detail. Monitor machine operations during production runs, making adjustments as necessary to ensure accuracy. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on the equipment, including the use of hand tools and basic mechanical skills. Handle materials safely, ensuring proper storage and movement within the workshop or warehouse environment. Conduct basic maths calculations related to measurements, tolerances, and machine settings. Assist with assembly or gluing tasks when required as part of the manufacturing process. Maintain a clean and organised work area in compliance with health and safety standards.

Essential Requirements

Good communication skills in English, with the ability to read, write and understand work instructions and product specifications Basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations related to machining tasks. Proven experience or training in machine operating in manufacturing environments. Mechanical aptitude with the ability to operate machinery confidently. Good organisational skills with an eye for detail to ensure precision in all tasks. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Desirable

Experience in foam cutting and/or operating CNC machinery. Forklift licence.
