Job Overview


We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining CNC machinery to produce high-quality project. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong mechanical background and experience in fabrication, CAD, and materials handling.

The position is paid and ideal for those looking to develop their expertise in precision machining and the right person will also have the opportunity to own part of the business

Responsibilities



Set up, operate, and monitor CNC machines to produce specified parts according to technical drawings and specifications. Interpret CAD files and programme CNC equipment using appropriate software, including SolidWorks and other CAD tools. Perform routine maintenance and calibration of CNC machinery to ensure optimal performance. Select and install appropriate tooling, ensuring correct alignment and safety standards are maintained. Conduct quality inspections of finished products, ensuring they meet strict tolerances and specifications. Handle materials efficiently, including loading raw materials and managing waste or excess material appropriately. Maintain accurate documentation of production processes, machine settings, and inspection results. Follow safety protocols diligently, including proper handling of materials and operation of programmable logic controllers (PLCs).

Qualifications



Proven experience in fabrication, milling, or CNC machining within a manufacturing environment. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications. Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks; experience with programming CNC machines is essential. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and tooling management. Ability to perform basic maths calculations related to measurements, tolerances, and machine settings. Experience with materials handling, assembly processes, welding techniques, and use of hand tools is desirable. Warehouse experience or knowledge of materials logistics is advantageous. Good organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure high-quality output. Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 13.73-24.17 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
