About the role

We are currently recruiting for a CNC Machinist that will be working with large naval vessel models and interact with multiple high-end testing facilities. This is a fantastic and exciting opportunity to become an active and influential part of an extensive and experienced team.

What will you be doing?

• You will be making hydrodynamic test models which all will be a one off manufacture as well as doing the model fit out and rigging.
• You will operate a 3 Axis CNC machine, conduct manual milling and turning as well as precision mechanical assembly.
• You will be capable of reading & interpreting technical engineering drawings, tolerances, key characteristics and datum.
• You will be comfortable proactively & constructively communicating with designers & subject matter experts to work through ideas, contribute to problem solving & contributing to efficient design solutions from the outset.
• You will be keen to learn, curious, high integrity & have strong levels of ownership for their work.

Qualifications:

• GCSE (Maths & English)
• HNC / HND or apprenticeship coupled with experience
