We are currently looking for a skilled CNC Miller Programmer/Setter/Operator to join our precision engineering team. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of hands-on experience working with Siemens CNC controls within a production or subcontract machining environment.
In this role, you will be responsible for programming, setting, and operating CNC milling machines to produce high-precision components from technical drawings, working to tight tolerances.
Key Responsibilities:
Program, set, and operate CNC milling machines utilizing Siemens controls.
Read and interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications.
Manufacture precision components, ensuring exact tolerances and high-quality surface finishes.
Conduct first-off and in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments.
Perform routine maintenance on machines and adhere to safe working practices.
Work independently and collaboratively within a small engineering team.
Troubleshoot and adjust programs and machine settings as required.
Achieve production targets while maintaining exceptional quality and efficiency standards.
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years' experience in CNC milling, including programming, setting, and operating duties.
In-depth knowledge and experience with Siemens CNC controls (essential).
Strong ability to interpret and work from detailed technical drawings.
Experience manufacturing small batch or one-off precision components.
Proficient with precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, verniers, and gauges.
Excellent problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
Desirable (but not required):
Experience machining a range of materials (e.g., steel, aluminum, stainless steel).
Familiarity with CAD/CAM software.
Knowledge of ISO quality standards.
