Apex Component Solutions are recruiting a skilled CNC Lathe Setter/Programmer for their manufacturing team. At Apex Component Solutions we manufacture and supply bespoke parts, manufactured to customer drawings via kanban/PO to the engineering industry across Ireland. It is a great time to join our manufacturing department as we have exciting growth plans.

The Role

To set and operate 3 axis Doosan CNC Lathe / Mill Turn to produce precision machined parts.

Ability to create new/edit existing programmes on Fanuc controls.

Operating other toolroom machinery as required (e.g., bandsaw, forklift, manual lathe, manual mill, linisher.)

Adhere to all health and safety requirements and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

Must be capable of accurately reading and interpreting engineering drawings.

Must be able to use appropriate measuring equipment accurately for quality inspection of turned parts.

Unloading of delivery lorries.

Excellent accuracy and attention to detail.

Versatile and flexible, as this role involves working on your own, as well part of a team, to ensure production/customer deadlines are met.

Maintaining the machines in good working order and reporting any faults to your manager.

Essential Criteria

Previous experience in a similar role

CNC lathe experience, using Fanuc controls.

Ability to edit programmes on CNC lathes.

Understanding and interpreting engineering drawings

High level of numeracy and literacy skills

Excellent timekeeping and attendance record

Salary & Benefits
