FORMD are looking for a skilled CNC Programmer to join our dynamic and creative team.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in fabrication and machining processes, with the ability to create precise programmes for CNC machinery.

This role requires a blend of technical knowledge, creativity, and problem-solving skills to ensure efficient production and high-quality output.

Duties

Develop and optimise CNC programmes for CNC machines using CAD software. Utilise Fusion 360 and Alphacam for designing parts and tooling setups. Operate CNC machinery, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards. Conduct fabrication tasks including assembly as required. Perform routine maintenance on machines and troubleshoot any issues that arise during production. Handle materials efficiently, ensuring proper storage and organisation within the workshop environment. Collaborate with team members to improve processes and enhance productivity. Maintain accurate records of production runs and material usage.

Experience

Candidates should have:

Proficiency in CAD software, with experience in Fusion 360 and Alphacam being highly desirable Proficiency in the use of CNC machines, experience with Biesse and Felder CNC's being highly desirable. A solid understanding of mechanical principles and the use of hand tools for assembly tasks. Experience in materials handling, ensuring safe and effective management of raw materials and finished products. Basic mathematical skills to perform calculations related to measurements, tolerances, and material properties. Previous workshop experience is advantageous, particularly in a manufacturing setting.
