The Role.



We're looking for a proactive and detail-driven

CNC Programmer

to join our growing team. Working as part of a wider CNC Centre, you'll create off-line machining programmes that support efficient production of foam, wood, textile and tooling components. This role requires strong CAD/CAM expertise and a solid understanding of CNC machining processes across a range of equipment including textile cutters, 3-axis and 5-axis routers, and waterjets.

Key Responsibilities



Produce, edit and optimise CNC programmes using CAD/CAM software (Alphacam). Create and update work instructions, drawings, and cut-and-pack documentation for CNC and manual operations. Design jigs, fixtures, tooling and shop aids as required. Support CNC machine operators with programme queries, troubleshooting and part verification. Collect, review and implement internal and customer feedback to improve machining quality and strategies. Liaise with customers and suppliers, including occasional site visits. Assist with cost estimation for new projects. Prepare and print job packs for production work orders. Contribute positively to team culture and continuous improvement within the department. Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety, Quality, and Environmental standards. Report directly to the Operations Manager.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications



Minimum 2 years' experience in

3-axis CAM programming

(essential). Proven

5-axis CAM programming

experience (essential). Alphacam or other Hexagon CAM software experience desirable; experience with other CAM packages beneficial. Strong working knowledge of 2D and 3D CAD. Solid understanding of CNC machining best practice for foam, wood and textile materials. Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Strong communication skills at all levels. Positive, can-do attitude with a methodical and team-focused approach.
