We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, testing, and maintaining CNC programmes to produce high-quality components efficiently. Duties
Develop and modify CNC programmes using CAD/CAM software such as Vcarve / shaper3d and other relevant tools.
Set up CNC machines, including milling equipment, ensuring precise calibration and alignment.
Operate CNC machinery safely and efficiently to produce components according to technical drawings and specifications.
Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC equipment, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
Utilise hand tools and materials handling techniques to assist in machine setup and part inspection.
Collaborate with the engineering team on tooling selection, materials handling, and assembly processes.
Apply basic maths skills for measurements, tolerances, and calculations related to machining operations.
Maintain accurate documentation of programmes, adjustments, and production data in compliance with quality standards.
Assist in fabrication tasks when required, supporting overall manufacturing activities.
Requirements
Proven experience in fabrication, milling, or related manufacturing roles.
Proficiency with CAD software such as vcarve; experience with CAM programming is essential.
Mechanical knowledge of machining processes, tooling, and materials handling.
Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and their integration within manufacturing systems.
Ability to read technical drawings and interpret specifications accurately.
Hands-on experience with hand tools, assembly work, and materials handling equipment.
Basic mathematical skills for measurements, tolerances, and calculations relevant to CNC programming.
Warehouse experience or familiarity with logistics within a manufacturing environment is advantageous.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail; ability to work independently or as part of a team.
