Pay:

Competitive rates of pay available subject to candidates experience and skill set. Rate of pay will increase following satisfactory performance.

Working hours:

8:00 - 16:30 Monday to Friday with two 30 min breaks. 40hrs a week. Regular overtime available and paid at 1.5T.

Thorp Precast are a forward-thinking construction manufacturing business with a passion for quality and innovation. We specialise in the design, manufacture and installation of bespoke architectural panels and structures.

Due to continued growth and investment, we are looking to appoint multiple experienced CNC Programmers and Operators to join our manufacturing and design teams. Successful candidates will join an expanding department of experienced engineers, designers and operators. The roles are ideal for building skills and pushing technology, materials and processes in key areas of the business.

The successful candidates will be required to program and operate various CNC cutting machines including;

Brand new 7-axis robot milling machine,

Multiple CNC routers,

3 and 5-axis stone cutting machine,

New 3-axis fast wire CNC,

3-axis and 5-axis water jet profiling machine,

4-axis hot wire machine.

Applicants will;

Have experience in using CAD/ CAM software packages for design and manufacture. Fusion 360 and PowerMill are highly desirable. Be willing to learn and enhance their skills to be more effective in the role. Maintain CNC machines. Be working with various materials such as wood, steel, plastic and stone. Be able to read and understand engineering drawings. Have excellent attention to detail with reference to quality. Must be able to use hand and power tools.
This is a responsible position requiring a practical and committed approach which will be achieved by structured organisational skills and teamwork. The successful candidates will therefore possess a hardworking and dedicated attitude and be willing to go the extra mile when required for the business.
