We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, programming, and optimising CNC machinery to produce high-quality components. Responsibilities
Develop and modify programmes for CNC machines using CAD/CAM software such as SolidWorks and other relevant tools
Set up and operate CNC milling machines, ensuring precise execution of designs
Interpret technical drawings and specifications to produce accurate components
Select appropriate tooling and materials handling procedures to optimise production efficiency
Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting of CNC equipment, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs)
Collaborate with the manufacturing team to ensure quality standards are met throughout the production process
Utilise hand tools and welding techniques as required during setup or repair tasks
Maintain documentation of programmes, modifications, and operational procedures
Assist in assembly processes when necessary, ensuring parts meet specified tolerances
Qualifications
Proven experience in fabrication, machining, or related manufacturing roles
Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks and experience with CNC programming software
Strong mechanical knowledge with understanding of tooling, materials handling, and materials properties
Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and basic maths skills for calculations related to machining operations
Experience with milling processes, welding, assembly, and the use of hand tools is desirable
Warehouse experience or background in materials management is advantageous
Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately
Good organisational skills with attention to detail and safety standards
