Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced CNC Setter/Operator to join our engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting, operating and programming CNC machines to produce precision components in accordance with engineering drawings and specifications.

Key Responsibilities

Set and operate CNC milling machines (3 axis) and a manual lathe. Interpret and work from detailed engineering drawings. Use appropriate measuring equipment (verniers etc.) to ensure quality standards are met. Carry out self-inspection of machined components Adjust machine setting and tooling as needed to optimize performance. Maintain accurate records of work performed. Ensure safe working practices and compliance with health and safety standards. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of work area. Collaborate with the engineering team to troubleshoot any issues that arise during production.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a CNC Setter in an engineering environment. Strong understanding of CNC machining processes and principles. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings. Competent with measuring and inspection equipment. Familiarity with Heidenhain controls. Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. Good communication and teamwork skills. Experience of operating a manual lathe would be advantageous
