Overview

We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machines to produce high-quality components. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in fabrication, mechanical knowledge, and materials handling to contribute to precision manufacturing processes within a dynamic environment.

Duties

Set up and operate CNC machinery, ensuring accurate programming and calibration using engineering drawings. Interpret technical drawings and specifications to produce parts that meet quality standards. Use hand tools for finishing components and deburring. Handle materials safely and efficiently within the workshop environment, ensuring proper storage and movement of components. Perform routine inspections of machined parts using basic math skills to verify dimensions and tolerances. Operate a CNC saw to chop material to precise measurement to drawing specifications. Maintain a clean and organised work area in compliance with health and safety regulations.

Requirements

Proven experience in milling, or machining environments; workshop experience is advantageous. Competence in using hand tools, tooling, and materials handling equipment safely and effectively. Basic mathematical skills for measurements, calculations, and quality checks. Knowledge of CNC programming. Ability to interpret technical drawings and technical specifications accurately. Good organisational skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Pay: From 15.50 per hour

Expected hours: 24 - 37.5 per week
