THE ROLE

This is an exciting new opportunity to join the ScotRail Mobile Team within the IT Department.


The Mobile team are responsible for over 6000 mobile devices consisting of phones and tablets. This role will be responsible for device configuration, setting up all new and replacement devices, ensuring timescales are met.


This role is also responsible for identifying information security issues with specific devices and ensuring the estate is managed proactively to maintain availability. There will also be a need to support any mobile refresh projects and the need to travel to various sites across the ScotRail network from time to time.


Key Responsibilities




Day to day support of the mobile device estate at ScotRail. Ensuring the decommissioning and wiping of lost or stolen devices following the lost and stolen process. Retrieving leaver devices following the leavers process. Ensuring devices are secure and taking action to secure devices where required. Troubleshooting mobile faults, documenting resolutions. Environmentally sound disposal of broken and obsolete devices. Device configuration for all new and replacement devices. Device and accessories stock control Supporting other members of the Mobile team when required Support and adhere to IT and business processes concerning IT Security, Service Maturity, Innovation and Continual service improvement. Interface as required with other functions to manage service expectations and delivery. Other IT business support role where appropriate or if the requirement should arise

Skills & Qualifications




Essential




Excellent Organisational skills Ability to work well within a team Strong Interpersonal and Communication skills Excellent Administration knowledge Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically, Excel Excellent trouble-shooting skills Experience with iOS and Android Technology

:


Working 35 hours per week. Office based every day.


Reference Salary:

30,648 per annum.
