Overview





The Client Transport Team are looking to recruit a

Coach Park Assistant

who is available Monday to Friday - Term Time Only - 3.30pm to 4.30 pm.



The role is to work as part of a team supervising 11-17-year-old students waiting and boarding school buses in the afternoon at the Aylesbury Coach Park.



Please note, this role is subject to an enhanced DBS check.

About the role





You will be part of The Client Transport Compliance and Safeguarding Team. The role has been created due to the increased responsibilities the team are now experiencing and the important need for consistency of staff carrying out this role. Your role will specifically relate to being part of the Aylesbury School Coach Park Team.



The role is wide-ranging from ensuring that coaches leave on time to the safeguarding responsibilities of students that miss their transport. It is hugely rewarding and to the right candidate, the

will find it fulfilling and extremely enjoyable whilst at the same time having the satisfaction of delivering a vital service for Buckinghamshire Council.



The main requirement of the role is to ensure the Health, Safety and Welfare of the students within the coach park. You would also be responsible to ensure that vehicles arrive and depart on time and report incidents of late operation, poor practice and/or student behaviour to the relevant authority in a timely way.



Size and scope: Approximately 1500 students and around 30 vehicles per day use the coach park.


Fixed





As a 'fixed' worker, you'll spend most of your time in the same location, which will likely be a fixed office or location where your role is performed. Typically, you'll be based in the same location as the rest of your team, because you provide a particular service from that fixed location or need access to information there.


About you





The role is extremely varied, and no two days seem to be the same, but your main roles will be


To ensure the coaches are in their allocated lane and leave at the scheduled time. To make sure the Health and Safety policies for the coach park are being implemented and followed. Answer any questions the students have relating to their transport In the event of a student missing their coach ensure they are directed back to school where alternative arrangements can be made. Report any incidents that occur to both managers and school staff if necessary. Return any lost property to schools.

Other information





This role is permanent where you will be employed for 5 hours a week covering the coach park for 1 hour every Monday to Friday afternoon when the students leave school.



The salary is Grade 1 24,359 however this will be pro-rated for 5 hours per week giving you an annual salary of 3,290.90
