We have some exciting opportunities to join our team managing coastal flood and erosion risk on the south coast.
Coastal Partners is a Partnership formed of five Local Authorities on the south coast. The organisation is responsible for planning, building, and maintaining sea defences along 246km of coastline. Our location means that we are heavily focused on improving the natural environment and adapting to climate change. We also manage services in surveying, research, and coastal science.
The Roles
We are looking for suitable candidates to work within our team who may have experience within a particular area of either Finance, Communications or General Administration. Working within our assurance team, we provide project, administration, communications, customer service, people and financial support and advice across the partnership. We would like to offer the opportunity to gain experience in a wide variety of tasks. These posts will cover a range of functions in business administration, supporting colleagues and managers as well as supporting the assurance team with the delivery and implementation of change to contribute to overall business improvement.
You may have experience in a particular area, broadly duties will include some or a variation of the following:
Business and communications support and administration.
Finance Support.
Responding to queries and dealing with e-mail enquiries on a range of matters within a specified timescale and escalating where necessary.
Supporting the team with ad hoc projects and changes.
Arranging meetings.
Creating and updating processes and forms.
What skills do I need?
Experience of working in a support role, administrative, communications or finance.
Knowledge and practical experience of using a variety of computer software packages.
A strong customer care focus - internal team members and external partners and customers.
A commitment to solving problems, as part of a team or as an individual, to achieve the best outcome.
Good and effective written and oral communication skills - able to deliver messages clearly.
Ability to form good working relationships and confidence to deal with people at all levels, working as part of a team and independently.
Work to achieve high standards and accuracy.
Appreciation of working with sensitive and confidential information.
