Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our vibrant team. As a Barista, you will play a crucial role in creating an inviting atmosphere for our customers while delivering exceptional service and high-quality beverages. Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the cafe area, ensuring adherence to food safety standards. Assist with food preparation, including pastries and light snacks, while following proper food safety protocols. Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders accurately, and offering recommendations. Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service without compromising quality. Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate records of sales. Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment and ensure smooth operations.

Experience

Previous experience in a cafe or food service environment is preferred but not essential; training will be provided. Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours. Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions and calculating change accurately. A keen interest in coffee culture and a willingness to learn about different brewing techniques and beverage preparation. Knowledge of food safety practices is advantageous.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent, Temporary, Fixed term contract, Temp to perm, Zero hours contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: 13.00-14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 per week
