Job purpose -
We are one of the UK's Largest Auction houses and are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and energetic Coffee Lounge Cook to join our team on a fixed term contract (up to 12 months). Working 5 days per week (Mon-Fri 08:30am - 5:00pm). This role will involve all aspects of kitchen work such as prepping, cooking, plating, serving, maintaining high standards of hygiene, and completing relevant paperwork where needed.
Duties and responsibilities:
Preparing and cooking food for staff and customers
Maintaining excellent levels of food hygiene and health safety within the workplace.
Ensuring all equipment is regularly maintained and kept clean.
Monitoring stock levels and placing orders
Monitoring portion and waste control closely
Know your menu - confidently check and challenge all foods before serving any meal to all customers.
Ensure that the coffee lounge kitchen stays clean, safe, and adheres to legal restrictions
Taking Orders and handling card payments
Serving food and beverages to customers and staff
Maintaining a clean and sanitized working environment, clearing tables, and washing dishes
Assisting with food preparation
Providing excellent customer service
Following health and safety guidelines
Skills & Experience required:
Experience working in cafes, quick service restaurants, food service, pubs or similar.
The ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, including managing a workload during busy periods.
Warm and friendly personality with a passion for providing customers with great food and friendly service.
Efficient at multitasking as well as having good organisation and time keeping skills.
Keep accurate records and complete reports including but not limited to, fridge temperatures, cooking temperatures, hot holding temperatures, cooling records, cleaning records, and delivery records.

Working Hours: 37.5 per week, Mon-Fri 08:30am - 5:00pm, Full time, Fixed term maternity cover (up to 12 months)
Salary: Up to 24,750 per annum
