An exciting opportunity has arisen within the MiChild group, our Stepping Stones nursery is looking for a reliable, enthusiastic and organised individual to join our setting as a nursery cook (covering maternity leave), providing fresh, healthy and nutritious meals daily.



Please note this post is a maternity leave cover and is due to start Nov/Dec 2025 until the return of post holder.

Key responsibilities

Managing a small kitchen Cooking and preparing all meals from scratch. Managing all areas of the kitchen. Monitoring stock and wastage Complying with hygiene regulations at all times

Requirements

The successful candidate must have previous experience within a working kitchen environment Demonstrable experience as a skilled Cook ideally in a School or Nursery setting hold a Food Hygiene certificate as a minimum Excellent culinary skills Attention to detail Strong teamwork skills are essential * Working on your own initiatives
