Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Coffee Shop Assistant to join our vibrant team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while assisting with the daily operations of our coffee shop. Your passion for hospitality and commitment to food safety will ensure that our customers enjoy a delightful experience every time they visit.

Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately, ensuring a friendly atmosphere. Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including coffee, tea, and other specialty drinks. Assist with food preparation, including pastries, sandwiches and scrambled eggs, adhering to food safety standards. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the coffee shop, including seating areas and service counters. Handle catering orders as needed, ensuring timely preparation and delivery. Support bartending duties during busy periods, serving alcoholic beverages responsibly. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours. Address customer inquiries and provide assistance in a professional manner.

Skills

Previous experience in hospitality or food service is advantageous. Knowledge of food safety practices is essential to maintain high standards of hygiene. Skills in food preparation and catering will be beneficial for this role. Bartending experience is a plus, enhancing our beverage offerings. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. A positive attitude and willingness to help others contribute to a welcoming atmosphere.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 12.21-12.70 per hour

Expected hours: 37 - 42 per week
