Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Coffee Shop Assistant Manager to join our brand new team at Ori Caffe within the John Lewis Store at Liverpool One shopping Centre. In this role, you will support the daily operations of our coffee shop, ensuring a high standard of service and product quality. You will play a crucial role in supervising staff, managing team dynamics, and fostering a welcoming environment for both customers and employees. Your leadership skills will be essential in maintaining our commitment to excellence in hospitality.

Duties

Assist the Coffee Shop Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to company policies. Supervise and train staff, promoting teamwork and effective communication among team members. Manage inventory levels, including ordering supplies and maintaining stock for food production. Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the coffee shop, including food preparation areas. Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries and resolving any issues that may arise. Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure high-quality food production that meets health and safety standards. Assist in creating a positive work environment that encourages staff development and engagement. Implement promotional activities to enhance customer experience and drive sales.

Requirements

Proven experience in a supervisory or management role within the hospitality or restaurant industry. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team. Experience in food production or culinary arts is advantageous. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to multitask effectively while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. A passion for coffee culture and commitment to delivering exceptional service. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as required.
