Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks, according to established recipes and standards. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations. Assist with food preparation and serving, ensuring that all items are presented attractively and meet quality standards. Engage with customers in a friendly manner, taking orders accurately and efficiently while providing recommendations when needed. Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate records of sales. Manage time effectively to ensure prompt service during peak hours. Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment.

Skills

Previous barista experience is highly desirable, along with a strong understanding of coffee preparation techniques. Knowledge of food safety practices to ensure compliance with health regulations. Excellent serving skills, demonstrating professionalism and attentiveness to customer needs. Basic math skills for handling transactions and managing cash accurately. Strong time management abilities to prioritise tasks effectively in a busy setting. A passion for coffee culture and a desire to learn more about beverage preparation techniques. Pay: 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 16 per week
