Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Coffee Shop / Bistro Manager to oversee the daily operations of our vibrant coffee shop/Bistro. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for Licensed hospitality, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves managing staff, ensuring food safety standards are met, and creating a welcoming atmosphere for our patrons during.

Duties

Supervise and manage a team of baristas, bar staff and kitchen staff, fostering a positive work environment. Oversee the preparation and presentation of food and alcoholic beverages, ensuring high quality and adherence to culinary standards. Implement and maintain food safety protocols in compliance with health regulations. Train new employees in coffee preparation techniques, customer service skills, and operational procedures. Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels to ensure smooth operations. Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints promptly to enhance customer satisfaction. Assist in developing promotional activities to attract new customers and retain existing ones. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the coffee shop, including dining areas and kitchen facilities.

Requirements

Previous experience in a managerial role within the hospitality or restaurant industry is essential. Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate and lead staff effectively. Knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary practices is highly desirable. Familiarity with bartending practices is an advantage but not mandatory. Understanding of food safety regulations and best practices in a cafe environment. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a friendly disposition towards customers. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as required. our opperating hours are cuurently 7am to 12am, but will hopefully increase to 2am once application is successful. A passion for coffee culture and providing outstanding service in a fast-paced environment.
