Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Coffee Shop Manager to lead our vibrant team and oversee daily operations at the Jane Street Cafe, situated inside the Washington Central Hotel, Workington. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and a background in food and beverage service. This role offers an exciting opportunity to manage a coffee shop, ensuring exceptional customer service and high-quality food preparation. The successful applicant will be responsible for supervising staff, maintaining food safety standards, and driving the overall success of the establishment.

Responsibilities

Manage daily shop operations, including opening and closing procedures Lead and motivate the team and support staff to deliver outstanding customer service Oversee food preparation, cooking, and food production processes to ensure quality standards are met Supervise staff schedules, training, and performance evaluations Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards within the premises Monitor inventory levels and place orders for supplies as needed Handle customer enquiries and resolve any issues promptly and professionally Implement promotional activities to increase sales and enhance customer experience Maintain a welcoming environment that reflects the brand's hospitality values

Experience

Proven supervising experience within a restaurant, cafe, or hospitality setting Strong team management skills with the ability to lead by example Excellent customer service Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in food production Previous experience working in hospitality is highly desirable Demonstrated leadership qualities with excellent organisational skills

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 13.00-15.00 per hour
