We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Coffee Shop Supervisor to lead our team in delivering exceptional customer service and high-quality food and beverage offerings. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for the coffee industry, and a commitment to maintaining a positive work environment. This role involves overseeing daily operations, managing staff, and ensuring that all food safety and quality standards are met.

Duties

Supervise daily operations of the coffee shop, ensuring efficient service and high-quality products. Train, mentor, and develop staff in food preparation, customer service, and operational procedures. Manage inventory control processes to ensure adequate stock levels while minimising waste. Operate POS systems for cash handling and transaction processing. Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to maintain quality standards. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling practices. Foster a positive team environment through effective communication and leadership. Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues that may arise during service. Manage bookings in our soft play area for both daily bookings and party bookings.

Requirements

Proven experience in a supervisory role within the food service industry, preferably in coffee shops or casual dining establishments. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and kitchen management practices. Familiarity with inventory control systems and cash handling procedures. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to manage guest relations effectively. Experience with training & development of staff members to enhance their skills and performance. Background in hospitality management or restaurant management is highly desirable. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong leadership qualities with experience in team management and shift management. Barista experience or coffee knowledge is preferred but not mandatory.
