Are you a coffee enthusiast with a passion for providing exceptional customer experiences? Martin Carwardine & Co is seeking a dynamic and experienced Retail Coffee Shop Supervisor for our new Retail Coffee Shop opening within the coming weeks, within the centre of Wells.
We're not just another coffee spot. We're a haven for coffee and tea lovers, offering a curated selection of premium retail coffee beans, exquisite loose-leaf teas, and the finest brewing equipment alongside our delicious coffee-to-go. We're looking for a supervisor who can help us create a vibrant atmosphere, drive sales across all our product ranges, and lead our new coffee shop to success!
What You'll Be Doing:
Supervise Daily Operations:
Ensuring smooth service for both our takeaway coffee customers and retail shoppers.
Driving Retail Success:
Actively promote and advise customers on our range of retail coffee beans, teas, and brewing equipment, sharing your knowledge and passion to drive sales.
Expert Coffee & Tea Service
: Oversee the preparation and service of high-quality espresso-based drinks, brewed coffee, and tea, maintaining our standards of excellence.
Inventory Management:
Assist in managing inventory levels for coffee beans, tea, retail equipment, and all cafe supplies, including ordering and stock rotation.
Customer Engagement:
Ensure an outstanding experience for every customer, addressing inquiries and feedback with professionalism and enthusiasm.
Operational Excellence:
Uphold health, safety, and hygiene standards, ensuring the shop is always clean, welcoming, and well-presented.
Sales & Cash Handling:
Oversee till operations, cash handling, and daily reconciliation.
Merchandising:
Contribute to attractive and effective visual merchandising of our retail products.
Who We're Looking For:
Proven experience in a supervisory role within a coffee shop, cafe, or retail environment.
Strong knowledge and genuine passion for specialty coffee and tea, including different origins, roasts, and brewing methods.
Experience with selling retail products, ideally coffee/tea and related equipment.
A customer-first mindset with the ability to build rapport and drive sales.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Experience with POS systems and cash handling.
Flexibility to work every weekend.
