2 Posts - Cognition & Learning Outreach Officer
We have recently expanded Hull's SEND outreach offer to include a small cognition and learning service which will join the teams that make up the Local Authority's Integrated Physical and Sensory Service (IPaSS).
The officers will take a leading role in the ensuring the right support is in place for children and young people with cognition and learning needs, both in primary and secondary settings. With a strong emphasis on workforce development, they will be pivotal in strengthening inclusive practice within mainstream settings and ensuring that all pupils have an equal opportunity to succeed. They will also work in close collaboration with the Outreach Partnership, undertaking multi-agency work where appropriate.
Whilst located within IPaSS, there will also be strong links with the Local Authority's Educational Psychology service, particularly in relation to the development of the Cognition & Learning training offer.
We are looking for professionals who:
Hold current QTS
Have a good knowledge of SEND legislation and policy
Have experience of supporting children and young people in an educational setting
Have strong knowledge of cognition and learning difficulties and the breadth of need in this area
