Position: Cold Store Body Construction

The Company

Due to continued growth we are looking for a Cold Store Body Construction Operative to strengthen our team and help us achieve our goals for expansion as one of the UK's leading Cold Store specialists.

We are a family run company situated on the North East coast of Yorkshire with years of experience in the Cold Store and Refrigeration industry. We build, repair and maintain Cold Stores across the country and at our own premises.

The Role

We require a Cold Store Body Construction Operative to assist with the construction of new build and reconditioned portable cold stores. You will be responsible for trimming composite panels accurately to required dimensions and then as part of a team, construct the bodies of the cold stores. Your role will be critical in ensuring that our products meet our quality and safety standards. You must provide an excellent work ethic and high level of workmanship along with the ability to work alone or as part of a team.

Duties

Assisting the workshop manager and team with cold store fabrication to a high standard General workshop duties Trimming of composite panels to accurate dimensions Fabricate all components according to engineering drawings and specification Fit out both interior and exterior of bodies with cappings and trims Maintaining a clean environment to work in and abiding by all Health and Safety Regulations outlined with the company policy Be able to use a wide variety of hand/power tools and industrial machinery to a safe standard (Training will be provided) Working to strict deadlines and time frames Maintain cleanliness of all production areas Manual handling and heavy lifting Due to the nature of the business and various demands, the successful candidate would be expected to assist in other areas of the KDM cold-store manufacture and refurbishment as required

Requirements

Strong attention to detail Be able to interpret and utilise measurements from engineering drawings Possess a strong work ethic Ability to meet targets on a daily basis Some joinery/fabrication background essential The ability to learn and progress Initiative to work solely or as part of a team Current driving licence advantageous Self motivated and punctual

Salary

Salary: In line with NLW

Wage to be discussed dependant on relevant experience for the right candidate
