Job Description

The London Mint Office, based in Gilfach Goch, Porth, South Wales are looking for a confident individual to join our Collections Team.

We are looking for someone who is naturally driven and motivated.

Collections agents are required to be enthusiastic individuals who contribute in collecting overdue payments. You will be responsible for collecting payments, reviewing customer accounts and maintaining good customer relationships.

You must be an excellent communicator, have superior people skills and be comfortable in dealing with customer requirements and complaints.

The goal is to help gain mutual agreements in relation to overdue payments.

Key responsibilities:

Main Role

1. Making calls to customers and collecting outstanding payments

2. Communicating with customers regarding overdue debt

3. Meeting daily/weekly cash collection targets

4. Chasing of overdue invoices by telephone, email & letter within agreed timescales

5. Contacting customers who have failed to meet their agreed payment date

6. Setting and keeping up to date with customer call back requests resulting for inbound or outbound calls, following through on the agreed actions on each account on time

8. Updating relevant systems

9. Building rapport with colleagues and clients

10. Providing Professional and courteous service to our customers

General

1. Proven experience as a collection agent or other customer service role

2. Proven track record of successfully meeting targets, preferably collections over the phone

3. Accuracy and good attention to detail

4. Highly confident and assertive

5. Methodical thinker with excellent initiative

6. Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills

7. Remain Calm under pressure

8. Display literacy and numeracy skills

9. Good knowledge of relevant computer programs (i.e. Office software) and telephone

systems

10. Willingness to learn about products

11. The ability to remain self-motivated

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 26,984.00 per year
