We\'re looking for a Commercial Accountant to join our Major Projects Devonport department based in Plymouth, Devon. Within this role you can enjoy 26 days annual leave, sharesave scheme, family friendly policies and even more.

Responsibilities

As a Commercial Accountant you\'ll be working within the major projects Devonport team, part of a JV with BAM delivering a framework of \xc2\xa3350m+ over the next 5 years of business the successful candidate will be responsible for the provision and interpretation of financial and management information to support and inform the local management team in the day to day management of the JV

Your day to day will include:

  • Ensure all reporting requirements required for the integrity of the JV are completed
  • Input into any bidding activity associated with the JV
  • Provision of front line support to business segment management including attending local contract management and customer meetings where required, ensuring early warnings of deviation to Forecast are provided to local management
  • Preparation of JV monthly management accounts and reporting packs including commentary and analysis
  • Completion of Cash forecasts
Who are we looking for?

This role of Commercial Accountant is great for you if:
  • Must possess a professional finance qualification such as CIMA, ACCA or ACA
  • Previous experience ideally in a commercial or accounting role post qualification
  • Experience within a position of similar responsibility
  • Financial modelling skills (including macros) and a detailed understanding of financial forecasting is essential
  • Ability to manage pressure and meet strict deadlines
